Hello!!

is it possible to get an interstate safety check in NSW to sell my Qld regisrated car in NSW?

If not, does the 6 month QLD REGO count in NSW, when I transfer my car to NSW, or do I have to buy a new NSW REGO ? Undecided

thank you!

Hi,

You can not get an interstate check in NSW ... it would be a great idea though!
The system is designed for residents, not so easy for travellers  Undecided

With a QLD car, easiest thing is to sell in QLD ... or go get a blue slip and help the seller get a 6 or 12 month rego here.
(my advice is get 12, it increases the value of the car/van!)

Cheers

Hi,

Your original question was:
"is it possible to get an interstate safety check in NSW to sell my Qld regisrated car in NSW?"

The answer is no!! There is no such thing as an interstate safety check.

Your new question is (?!!):
"is it allright to sell a QLD car with the RWC from here"

The answer is yes, IF the rego check is a BLUE slip and you sell the car in NSW.
If you get a NSW blue slip, the buyer can then register the van here in NSW if they also buy a green slip (green slip is basic insurance) ...
It is important to note, if you have a NSW blue slip, it will not be accepted in QLD to re-register the van in QLD.

Hope that clears it up ...  Grin

Cheers
