So far a very reliable car and comfortably big enough for 2 people. It is a sedan, so you sleep in it only if really nothing else is available. But if it wasn't a sedan, would you still consider sleeping in a car?
We bought her from Perth, so it has a WA rego, but that is no problem if you are heading towards west on your travels -- we will tell you where to go and what to do and you have 3 months time to get west.
The car itself has been running well, and I guess the engine is in pretty good shape since it really runs on a little fuel. Of course the engines' size is small with a small consumption, but if you wish to see things while driving it delivers enough speed. The car does have a bunch of minor faults, but what do you expect from a car in this price range? None of the faults is so big that you couldn't live them if we did. We gave the lady a change of the filters and liquids and renewed a pair of front wheels and there is a full size spare wheel, that you can really drive with. We chose to drive along quite many of the gravel roads and some of the 4wd roads as well since the car did manage so well and without problems.
91 unleaded consumption around 6.5l/100 km: Actual price around 9$/100km, calculation based on a logbook you can review. Air conditioning works but increases fuel consumption of course. Cd / usb / sd player is in so you can bring your own music.
Included are as well the newest editions of map books both covering whole Australia. The other is meant for motor bikers suggesting the most brilliant drives around and the other guides you to cheap and low budget camping where ever you travel. We really did save a lot of money with the book.
The car comes quite fully equipped for camping as well, but of course along our needs and wishes. Included items are a butane gas cooking stove, 15l Esky, two canisters for water, kettles, plates and cutlery with knives and things enough for two people and two camping chairs with can holders. To provide a better sleep it is equipped also with a waterproof tent for a trio, very spacious for two, plus one single and one double foam mattresses and one inherited sleeping bag that we used as an extra mattress.
Simply put, here you have a car to take you to places cheap and reliably. You cannot live in it but it has basic things for you to enjoy Australia fresh and outdoors. We really were happy with it.
