Description:

For Sale is a 1987 Toyota Tarago VAN. It can be used as a family van, commercial van or you can even turn it into a campervan!! It has 8 seats that can be configured according to requirement or taken out to use as a full van!
I purchase this van only this weekend and the purpose was to take it for a big trip up to north Queensland and further with several of my mates at the end of the month but unfortunately it has been cancelled due to 2 of them losing a their holiday money at the casino today!! so I am now very very upset being left with a spare car which I need to sell immediately

The car prior to my purchase has been owned by one family since new and has regularly had all its services carried out and mechanicals looked after.
In the last 6 months it has been rarely driven due to the upgrade of a newer car This is its history before I bought it. It is guaranteed a first owner car and has done below average 12000kms a year!!!

I took it to my mechanic straight after the purchase and will now give a detailed analysis of the Van:

Interior:
- CD MP3 FM Radio, Installed in 2009 with new front speakers and wiring.
- All Interior seats in fair to good condition, especially given the age of the van.
- All the rear seats are removable or can fold flat for storage or transport of equipment.
- Tinted windows (2007)
PERFECT FOR AN EASY CONVERSION INTO A CAMPERVAN JUST PUT IN A MATTRESS!!

Exterior Notes:
- The car is surprisingly straight given its ages except a superficial small trolley dent on the sliding door,
- Minor surface rust along the side and rear from stone chips and general freeway travel.
- Bull bar is in excellent condition for the age of the car.
- Tow bar and wiring harness all secure and tested as working.
- Rear Tailgate opens perfectly and closes smoothly, Gas struts all full of gas and working well.
- All door and tailgate seals in v good condition, no leaks even when hosed directly.
- All windows seal well and have never been broken or replaced.
-All plastic, instruments work! all switches work too

Mechanicals:
- New Starter Motor installed in early 2010.
- New Battery installed in 2009 (Still under Manufacturer's warranty)
- Radiator and all cooling hoses installed in 2008 along with full coolant flush and thermostat.
- Carburetor reconditioned in 2009 and new fuel filter installed at the same time.
- In the past 12 months the vehicle has only covered approximately 5000kms.
- Car drives smoothly with the automatic transmission shifting gears easily.
-When I bought the Van I took it to a mechanic for a check up and the timing belt was tightened due to the car not being used for a long time
-Tyres have another 15000kms in them

Bad bits:
-The only out of the ordinary display from this vehicle is a loose wire on the dashboard wiring harness. There seems to be a loose Ground connection that causes the red lights to come on from time to time (usually when going over bumps) This has never effected the vehicle and the oil and water levels are checked regularly.
-The oil would need to be changed in about 2000kms ($50 cost)
and the alternator should be changed in the next 5000kms-10000kms or so but is not necessary unless your very fussy about the periodic mechanical services.
-The cars interior needs a good vacuum and clean due to its age
-There is airconditioning but the belt needs to replaced for it to work (last owner has not bothered with this for years)
Overall Toyota Taragos are unbreakable cars and would last another 300000kms if you look after it right. Given it has only had one owner with all the services done you should experience no trouble driving this car around town or around Australia.
It will come with a service manual, original owners manual, cd player manual and log book
I think I have priced this car according to whats available on the market. please look around and tell me what you think.
